Mission Impossible Out: Tom Cruise Thanks Prague Film School
Mission Impossible Thanks Prague Film School
Prague Film students recall the blustery week of October 2010 when the crew of Mission Impossible 4 descended upon Prague Film School to shoot a scene for their latest action-packed film.
Even Prague Film School students from the most independent stripes were witnessed skipping class to observe Tom Cruise, half naked, slide down a 50 meter strip of cable tied to the school.
Faculty, students and staff were pleased to offer Mr. Cruise our building as an escape route in one of his many moments of need.
Below is the thank you letter sent to Prague Film School students from Tom Cruise:
Letter from Tom Cruise
On behalf of our entire cast and crew I would like to sincerely thank the people of Prague for your warmth, hospitality and patience during our recent film shoot.
It was thrilling to once again be filming all over your stunningly beautiful and vibrant city and we were honored by some very special visitors; former President Václav Havel, a man for whom I have great respect and admiration, Mayor Filip Dvořák and Deputy Mayor Daniel Hodek, both of whom I greatly enjoyed meeting, the students from the Prague Film School and the Gymnazium Jana Palacha Praha 1 school, as well as special mention to all in the city that stopped by to watch filming and say hello.
Thank you all for sharing your time with us, making us feel welcome and at home.
In addition to filming in numerous breathtaking locations, my wife and I enjoyed early morning walks through the cobblestone streets with time to admire the sheer elegance of the architecture and the work of local artists displayed in many of your city’s fine shops.
It was a very special time for me, my family, our cast and crew; one we will remember fondly for many years to come.
I would also like to thank each and every member of the local crew that assisted us during our filming. You all did a terrific job.
My family and I send you all the very best wishes for the upcoming holiday season and the coming year.
Sincerely,
Tom Cruise
